The purpose of the awards ceremony is to recognize outstanding
achievements performed by police officers and Pittsfield citizens. On May
29th, 2002 Pittsfield Police Department hosted the first annual Pittsfield
Police Department Awards Ceremony. Since that date, the Pittsfield Police
Department has continued to hold an annual awards ceremony. The awards
ceremony for 2007 took place on May 29, during which time Pittsfield Police
Officers and citizens were honored for their achievements during the
2005-2006 calendar year. Below is a list of the awards
