In the event that property belonging to you is held in storage at the Pittsfield Department Public Safety. The following procedure must be followed in order to claim your property.
1 . You may claim your property by APPOINTMENT only.
Appointments and inquiries can be made by calling (734) 944-4911 ext. 204 or sending an email to: mccormicks@pittsfielddps.org
2. Property officer hours are:
4:00pm to 12:00am Monday through Friday (Closed for Holidays)
3. Valid I.D. and proof of ownership may be required to release the property.
4. A letter will be sent advising that we currently have property that may be claimed by the owner.
If the owner fails to make contact within 30 days of receipt of the letter, the property will be disposed of in a manner prescribed by State law.
