Pittsfield Charter Twp, Michigan

The position of Community Coordinator is to provide our community with a person who serves as the focal point for coordination between the police department, fire department, schools, businesses and residents of Pittsfield Township. This was created in an effort to reduce crime and enhance the quality of life in our community. Position priorities include integrating youth at-risk issues in all of the public safety watch programs, as well as parent and teen awareness presentations on gangs, date rape drugs, bicycle safety, and personal safety. Other duties include coordinating Halloween candy screening, child safety seat installation and inspection, and public presentations on police and fire safety issues.
