Pittsfield Charter Twp, Michigan

The Pittsfield Department of Public Safety employs nine Dispatcher/Clerks that handle all 911 and non-emergency calls, as well as dispatching police and fire units to all calls for service. The dispatch center is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Dispatchers use a Computer Aided Dispatch system, which maintains and coordinates all incoming information. All dispatchers are certified through the State of Michigan to operate L.E.I.N., the Law Enforcement Information Network that is utilized for accessing data bases that contain a computerized index of documented criminal justice information.
