The Pittsfield Police Motor Carrier program was established in 1998. The goal of the program is safety and compliance of trucking companies and owners. Pittsfield Township enacted it’s own ordinance which encompasses the Federal rules and regulations which govern Motor Carriers operation, and the Michigan State Laws which govern Motor Carriers operation. These laws govern a wide variety of commercial carriers, from small lawn care companies, up to and including the tractor-trailer combinations on our roads.
